ESPN Fantasy Analyst AJ Mass wrote a book a few years ago called "How Fantasy Sports Explains the World". Part of that book was a discussion how in a fantasy sports league there is really 13 different archetypes that people in your league fill. As time went along he realized his 13 archetypes not only fit well for fantasy sports but also for competition reality shows like Big Brother and Survivor. He started releasing a list every season of those shows breaking down the top 13 cast members into those spots. I have done this same (although i'm a bit behind posting it but it's been done for days now lol). For any one who doesn't know about his list, it is ranked from 13 to 1 in the order of least likely to win the game to the most likely. This ranking is in no way an evaluation of which particular player is in the best position or that players skillset to win but which archetype has the best odds of making the finals and winning once they get there. In real Survivor/Big Brother every single archetype has won at least once so anyone is eligible to win still! So lets start with 13th place.... Fresh Meat....In Big Brother 8, Eric Stein once famousley said while describing Carol Journey "This house is full of 12 sharks... and Carol". Usually the Fresh Meat is someone who is not hte super fan. They find themselves in over their heads and not knowing what to do so they latch on to someone else who will tell them what to do. They often make a great finals goat because they are just satisfied with being told what to do and when to do it. But if the person they sit next to is too unlikeable they can still pull out the upset win. The reason I chose Austin for this role has less to do with the potential he showed but more the effort. He wasn't as active as we would have liked and I think that cost him his social capital in this game, because of that he eventually got relegated to just being Natalie's yes man and her feeding him the strategy and the vote minutes before deadline. Coincidentally enough he is ranked 13th and he went out in 13th! 12. The Ninja
AJ Mass always says "When you get down to thirteen people in a Survivor or Big Brother season, try to name the entire remaining cast off the top of your head... The person who you forget about is the Ninja". This season is Kathy, She is barely active. Even though she participates in the challenges (most the time she missed the last one) she barely even talks in the tribe chat and even acknowledged herself the last time she was online as "The Ghost of Kathy" because she was so invisible. In a season where I feel most of the remaining cast has done or said something to make them memorable, Kathy has not made that impact yet. Our season 1 Ninja was able to sneak his way to the end and win, I don't see her being able to pull off the same. Former Real Life Ninjas: Kelly (Worlds Apart), Ciera (Second Chances), Julia (Kaoh Rong) Former EuroSurvivor Ninjas: Joaquin

11. The CheerleaderThe Cheerleader is the person who has the most team spirit. In Survivor they are the person who is always one of the most vocal sideline supporters when they aren't in the challenge. They are one of the people who is one of the most vocal supporters of in a swap or a merge their 'team' staying together and staying strong. They help keep the team unified and strong. Carrie is very onboard with NuBruxelles just steam rolling and staying strong. Inside of that she wants to work with her original Bruxelles members and we see other players in their confessionals saying that when they try to talk to Carrie about the late game she basically just says "Lets focus on keeping our tribe strong and going deep". I am sure having an idol is only helping her to feel comfortable in this role because she has no reason not to think it will take her deep and then when it's down to just her core of people she can use that idol to make sure she's on the good end of it. Former Real Life Cheerleaders: Joe (Worlds Apart), Spencer (Second Chances), Tai (Kaoh Rong) Former EuroSurvivor Cheerleader: Priya

10. Loose CannonI think the name is pretty explanatory. Now traditionally this role is someone who is very outspoken. That has no problem being confrontational and calling you out on BS. They will get in arguments often and just be a very loud presence. If you try to vote them out they will yell at you, call you out by name and threaten to play their idol they no longer have on you... Obviously Jasmine fits this role perfectly. She had loose lips while on exile with the other tribe members. She played a solo game even while on her tribe and she flipped out when she knew she may be leaving after the swap and made a story up threatening to idol out Natalie if they voted against her. Ultimatley this all helped her make it much further then she would have but eventually time ran out and she left anyway. Very fitting that a Loose Cannon would die a death where they killed their tribe along with themselves. Past Real Loose Cannons: Rodney (Worlds Apart), Abi Maria (Second Chances), Jason (Kaoh Rong) Past EuroSurvivor Loose Cannons: Kat

9. The NarcissistThe Narcissist thinks they are the end all be all. In their own mind they are the best player in the game. They are the one who is running and controlling things. They feel like everyone loves them and that they can do no wrong. If you ask them they have the entire game on lock from week one because they are the best thing in this world since sliced bread. This season our Narcissist is Dustin. Early on he got control in a power position on original Amsterdam and he was flying high. If you said his name, you were gone next. If you didn't agree with who he wanted to target, it didn't matter and he got them out anyway. If you played Pokemon against him, he would beat you because he needed to be one of the best. Dustin just puts out this confidence like he believes he is the best at everything he does and can't be stopped. Former Real Life Narcissists: Joaquin (Worlds Apart), Jeremy (Second Chances), Peter (Kaoh Rong) Former EuroSurvivor Narcissists: Eddie

8. Old ReliableOld Reliable is the person who is an extremely loyal player. What you see is what you get. They are usually a straight shooter and if they give you their word you can depend on them to follow through with it. They are usually universally beloved because they don't put on a front and everyone knows what to expect from them. They are a jack of all trades and a master of none. Ian wrote a confessional of his thoughts on the merge the other day and he called Burnie reliable. I mean that goes to show that Burnie is the perfect fit here. He is the kind, reliable person that people just like and trust and doesn't seem to be a huge 'game play' threat but can very much so be a threat to win in the end just based on the fact that everyone on the jury will love them. I still stand by the fact that last season our old reliable would have won the game if they hadn't stepped down at final four. 7. The Marriage of Convenience (Part 2)The Marriage of Convenience is a two part role that consists of two people who through circumstances find themselves backed into working together. It could be two people who unite together against a common enemy, two people who realize they are on the bottom of the pecking order and need to work together to survive or two people who have their entire tribe decimated and end up together by default (aka Malcolm/Denise). Like any partnership though, it's never a 50/50 split. Every group has the alpha and the beta. Cody is my Marriage of Convenience Part 2 (aka Beta) because after the swap he seemed to be the person calling the shots on NuAmsterdam but I feel that as each round went along, he handed over more and more power to his partner and let them become the alpha as he took the backseat and became their beta. I don't want to spoil who number one is but I am sure you guys can figure it out. Former Real Life Marriage of Convenience (Part 2s): Hali (Worlds Apart), Savage (Second Chances), Neal (Kaoh Rong) Former EuroSurvivor Marriage of Convenience (Part 2): Sean

5. Captain LoopholeCaptain Loophole is the superfan usually. They are the person who knows everything about the game. They have a good sense at predicting what is coming and being able to prepare for it. They know the game so well that they can try and find ways to manipulate or bend the rules in ways that others wouldn't even think of because they just aren't as knowledgeable. Tim this season has pretty much predicted everything right. He knew what was going to happen going into the flag challenge. When his whole tribe was saying they would merge at 12 he knew they would merge at 10 and a lot of that has to do with Tim studying season 1. He has prepared himself for this game and any twists that may come with it. He has become a student of EuroSurvivor and that has helped him to get to where he is now. 4. The X-FactorThe X-Factor is the one person who doesn't fit it. They are different from everyone else. They could be the only african american on a tribe full of white people. They could be the only male on a tribe full of females or even the only member of their tribe to make the merge. Heck they could be the only person in a game pretending to be a caveman! They just have that one thing that sets them apart and makes them different then everyone else. What sets Ian apart? I mean I guess you can say he is the one Survivor Palau contestant in the game that just Ulong'd the other tribe. But what made me put him here was his desire to fall on his sword and not play this game for himself but rather to help Dorothy win this game. Now since I made this list, Julia has started planting the seeds with Ian to try and slowly pull him away from Dorothy and that plan so this may no longer be his motive. But I also wouldn't be shocked if in a round or two he's back to playing a game to hand Dorothy the win. Even though the thing that "sets him apart" is not something that would normally help him win the game, he is likeable enough that if he makes it to the end I think he has a shot, especially given the situation he went through pre-swap and being in the minority post-swap. 3. The Mad ScientistThe mad scientist is the person who wants to play this game and hard. They want to make big moves. They want to blindside people. They want to have dramatic flips. They want to just throw everything they can at the wall and figure out what sticks. They aren't happy with the status quo and want to do whatever they can to try and get to the end with the best possible scenario for themselves. I feel Julia is our obvious mad scientist. Although she got quiet for a bit during the swap because her tribe was so dominant she seems like she's back at full force ready to go now into the merge and her mind is racing. She wants to try and figure out who is on the bottom that she can pull to make power moves and move herself forward as the top dog to sit in the end with people she deems as extremely beatable. Former Real Life Mad Scientists: Tyler (Worlds Apart), Kass (Second Chances), Debbie (Kaoh Rong) Former EuroSurvivor Mad Scientist: Cochran

2. Marriage of Convenience (Part 1)Already discussed with Part 2 what the Marriage of Convenience is. Part 1 is the Alpha that is the shot caller of the duo and the head of the pairing. Although I think I would of put Cody as more of the Alpha at the initial swap, over time I feel like he handed over his power to Natalie. First with the Glyn boot and then when he let Hot Dog leave before Austin giving her that sole swing vote to decide if he stayed or go. Although these two started together in an alliance it was very much Dustin/Cody and Austin/Natalie but because of their time together on NuAmsterdam these two were pushed into becoming each others #1's to try and survive. Former Real Life Marriage of Conveniences (Part 1): Jenn (Worlds Apart), Tasha (Second Chances), Aubrey (Kaoh Rong) Former EuroSurvivor Marriage of Conveince (Part 1): Carissa

1. The Diplomat The Diplomat is the smooth talker. This is the person who is very social and hard to hate. Even when they put a knife in your back or you openly catch them in a lie, they are able to have you 100% trusting them again 10 minutes later because they are such a smooth operator and know just what to say to everyone to put them at ease and say what they need to hear. Obviously this year that is Dorothy! This girl is universally beloved to the point where people are talking about how they know they can't beat her in the finals but they still want to take her there because she is so likeable. She may be EuroSurvivors version of JT, I mean Ian has even talked about trying to purposely play this game in a way that ensures Dorothy wins it because he likes her so much. This girl runs the roost and I find a hard way she doesn't win almost unanimously no matter what the final looks like if she is there. Former Real Life Diplomats: Carolyn (Worlds Apart), Kelly Wentworth (Second Chances), Anna (Kaoh Rong) Former EuroSurvivor Diplomats: Cyndi

Shocked to see Cody ranked above Dustin. I feel like Dustin will re-earn his AS spot though before he goes out.
Ian I am kinda meh on... We have to see how it plays out. I think if he actually follows through on playing this game for Dorothy to win and falling on his sword to ensure that happens... I don't think he deserves AS's, F vs F maybe but I have a hard time seeing a person who's whole strategy is to purposely lose the game for someone elses sake being an all star.
On the womens side I think the top 6 should all stay top 6... I think Julia/Tiffany/Carrie are interchangeable... like depending how Carrie plays down the stretch I think she could earn her way to AS's.. and Julia could lose her spot from AS to Fan vs Fav... meanwhile Tiffany is just at their mercy of if she is an AS or a F vs F contestant.... so I think those 3 can either all move up or down, I think Jasmine is good as a F vs F but I don't think i'd view her as worthy enough for AS's.
