So I came back from Exile Island this week and it seems like everyone wants to align. I had 3 different people approach me; Dorothy, Julia and Ian. Dorothy and Julia make sense as they were aligned with Shelli. Shelli told me to protect them when we were on exile together. Dorothy wants a big alliance including her, Julia, Ian, Burnie, Dustin and myself. I just nodded and smiled because I don't think you can decline a big alliance. Problem here though is we have not even gone to a tribal council yet and I don't know if we are all willing to stick together in a merge situation. Julia wanted to work together one on one, she can't resist my Aussie charm. Ian also wanted to work together. However I think his motivation is to block idol usage more than anything.
Carrie and I had a conversation about inactivity. I know I am not the only one observing her less than active recently. She is someone I really want to work with, so I need her on her A-Game. She agreed to step it up when I implied it subtly. I need us not to be targets in a merge scenario, so need to have no excuse for others to get rid of us. Shortly after this conversation we have to do the challenge.
Burnie, Carrie, Dustin, Jaclyn and I had to cross a balance beam. We basically demolished Amsterdam. It’s basically what Bruxelles has been doing all game. Jasmine got herself to the end of the balance beam and as a result was sent to exile. It was glorious and our entire team was cheering. Burnie took a turn on exile to give me a night off. This means those 4 original Amsterdam’s that stayed on Amsterdam at the swap now have to send two of their own home. I am absolutely ecstatic about this. The only one I want to stay is Cody. I think Simon likely wants him to stay in the game too. So I think there is a strong possibility the wallpaper of Amsterdam (Nat/Austin) wind up getting booted. Not at all upset if that winds up being the case.
We all know that Jury phase starts at 12. I expect peoples mentalities will start to change. People become greedier and want to see their threats go. I think being as vocal as I have been about targeting Simon, only bodes well for me. It gives people no reason to go after me immediately because they know I am not after them. I do think entering a merge setting; I am in a decent spot. I have people actively wanting to work with me, in addition to close allies in Carrie and Dustin. I will say though, I do not want to go into a merge yet. I would love to see us do one more set of tribal councils (either a double on one tribe, or each tribe voting someone out) despite how likely it is. Jaclyn and Kathy have not done anything worthy of earning a spot in the jury and I am not happy seeing them get there. They are very much likely going to go deep into the merge as a result. Oh well....
