I didn't know when idols could be played until the final 4 until I found the exile one and when I had asked hosts prior to this, it wasn't shared which was annoying I can own up to that I didn't share when Idols could be played unless you had an Idol or were already voted out (I may have mentioned it to Natalie after she was out of the game, but I'm not sure if I confirmed this to her or Jasmine having an Idol), in the future I think I will upfront admit this. Sorry I'm a shitty host guyz

if tim doesn't win its criminal having said that, he is not a particularly good winner so im not ENTHHUSED to vote for him We were talking about this on AIM last night (*psssst* Come online more!), but I'm actually not so sure I'm voting for Tim right now. I see some merits to Carrie's game, even if some of them were unintentional: • She went to Exile Island more often than anyone else in the pre-swap of the game, which could have put a target on her. That target never really materialized. • She drafted a tribe that completely crushed the opposing tribe for several rounds. She managed to bring together all the most active OG Bruxelles onto NuBruxelles with her and was able to maneuver the stronger competitors from the other OG tribes onto hers. A NuBruxelles didn't leave the game until F10 because Carrie chose wisely. • Carrie managed to hide the fact she had the Bruxelles idol from just about everyone. Even when we thought she MIGHT have it, I think most of us underestimated her ability to find it to the point where we just believed it was gone. The fact I was more willing to believe SHELLI found it than Carrie shows how much Carrie was able to deflect targets to other people. • Carrie was on the periphery of a lot of our games because she was allied with people who were bigger targets than she was, particularly Julia. Carrie voted against Julia at the right time and lined things up for a trip to F3 because Tim/Dustin were both bigger targets in the F4, AND she had an idol of her own. I don't know how much of that Carrie actually planned, but her game on paper looks really, really good. The only thing that brings it down is that she was inactive for stages of the game and perceived as just doing whatever it was Julia was doing. Getting a vote randomized is also not a good look. But unlike Tim, Carrie never really had to break her word as often because I don't think any of us were hustling to make deals with Carrie specifically. Also unlike Tim, I think I had more exciting non-game based conversations with Carrie than I did with Tim overall, and that goes a long way.

Sorry I'm a shitty host guyz I don't think it's expected of a host to let players know when idols expire. Withholding that info is fine to me and I would say that's the correct way to go about it.
But I do disagree with idols being playable at F4. That seems weird to me and makes the idols too powerful.

Oooooh interesting take on carrie. I was actually considering JACLYN over tim, but definitely not Carrie. My reasoning for more or less dismissing Carrie:
• She went to Exile Island more often than anyone else in the pre-swap of the game, which could have put a target on her. That target never really materialized.
It didn't materialize because Julia accelerated the targeting of "big names" which lead to a chain from me-dustin of seeming jury threats going. Unless you disagree that anyone from 9-4 would be perceived as goats compared to Carrie and Jacyln. (The case is there for Julia, but that may have been mostly me and Dorothy - I don't know what the others opinions on this are.) Once the can of worms was open and it was time to hunt for big game, it doesn't take a mastermind to follow the train. And even still Carrie almost fucked up at a few votes. (Natalie and Dorothy's boots come to mind.)
I'll give her this, but I think that was mostly serendipiity, given the whole "no cross tribal talk" thing. And even still, it wasn't like she was in some bomb ass spot on our tribe - I for one would have been open to voting for her as soon as the first vote.
It was certainly on our radar if we discussed it though, no? I will say I'm surprised Tim didn't have it, though, so fair point.
Again, I really don't think her positioning is that incredible when she's at the very least perceived as having little-to-no jury credibility, which I do notthink is an active manipulation on her part. From what I see she just went with the flow of the game which just happened to favor her.
I'm certainly open to discussion about Carrie's merits - but personally, if we're talking about conversational engagement, Jaclyn has her beat there for me. Which says A LOT honestly. And Tim's inability to small talk definitely hurts him for me, strategic game aside.

Oooooh interesting take on carrie. I was actually considering JACLYN over tim, but definitely not Carrie. I would love to hear your thoughts on Jaclyn, because she's the least of the F3 in my eyes right now. Did Jaclyn really have any agency in this game? She would have been in trouble if NuBruxelles ever lost a challenge, and she avoided a fate as an easy boot after that because of people's determination to goat her (including me after you got voted out). I can't shake the feeling that Jaclyn is only responsible for surviving this long because she wasn't very active and even when she was, her social game was rough at best, making her a key member of anyone's F3 as someone unlikely to get much jury respect.

But seriously, I don't buy that Carrie or Jaclyn ever did anything INTENTIONALLY. They are looking like viable options to get votes to win only because of how over-the-top god awful dealing with Tim was (and I say this as a guy who kinda liked him). But I would reward an abrasively aggresive, bordering on Hantz-levels of gameplay over 2 people who, even with their activities combined, is less than the activity of each member of the jury.
