I wanted to take the opportunity to thank the pre jurors, jurors, other finalists for playing this season and for the three lovely hosts, for putting on a great game. I really did enjoy myself. This season I have had some extreme highs and some deep lows. I take no pleasure in being grilled as hard as I have this week. Many of you have made me aware of my need to improve my social capabilities over a both a computer in my day to day life going forward. I have done a lot of talk about my strategic game but I feel I only highlighted one or two moves. With your permission I hope to isolate a couple more.
This season I worked my butt off in every challenge. I competed well enough to get sent to exile four times in the pre-merge portion of the game, while never missing a tribal council that my tribe went to. The only one I ever threw was the Big Brother Mini challenge. After reading the challenges in season 1, I knew it was a very real possibility of it being repeated. I have competed in the series where that challenge originated twice, and was sent home as soon as my cards were revealed. This time around, I took it upon myself to tell people I wasn’t going to be able to attend. My game was far more valuable to me then that challenge was, when every single person had the same goal for the week. I was looking at long term gains as opposed to short term immunity with that challenge.
My best move this season is without a question winning that final 4 immunity challenge. Carrie and I were able to put bring both idols with us to the final 4, and I knew if there was going to be another idol, it would come into play that week since no one had ever mentioned it until I confronted Dustin. Winning that immunity meant I had the power to nullify all of the idols and send Dustin out of the game. I will say it’s probably the most epic tribal council I have ever been a part of. The pressure was entirely on me that round. Carrie and Jaclyn, decided not compete in it. I worked 55 hours that week, and I still made time to do the challenge. I really hope you see my determination to be in this game through how hard I worked in that challenge. I posted three times a minute with extreme concentration for six hours, and was willing to go a lot longer if that meant I was going to win this final challenge. I scored 1080 points to the next highest 314. I’ve had this move planned since Dustin won immunity at the final five. I didn’t want to think that I would have to rely on myself to make it happen, but ultimately I did. It dumbfounds me that two people could not make time to post at all for the challenge. Dustin would be sitting in this chair if I didn’t win that immunity, and he would be winning this season. I needed to make sure the biggest jury threat did not get to the end of the game if I wanted you guys to even consider my game.
I realized I have hurt people throughout the season. I have already apologized for that, even though that won’t be worth much to most of you. I want the opportunity for you all to get to know me when this game is over, regardless of what you decide to do tonight.
I know several of you have voted but, I am asking you guys to look at this season as a whole. You are in a position to put someone as the winner of this season who has moved mountains to make it to this point. No disrespect to either woman sitting up here with me but I have fought every step of the way to be sitting in this chair, where as I feel the two ladies would have been here in spite of my efforts. Between the three of us I have attended the most tribal councils, made the biggest plays, played with every single person on that jury and voted everyone in that jury out who made the merge. Also to reiterate my passion for the game, I posted for six solid hours, three times per hour to make the last move happen by winning the only individual immunity that anyone in the final three had won, and was the only one to even attempt the challenge of the final three. Carrie wasn’t even able to show up for the vote an hour before the vote was due, where I had to remind her three times to play her idol and get her vote in. No one ever plays a perfect game and I have been raked across coals for my faults. However, I hope you can look past them and consider everything I went through to be here, and consider me your winner this season. No moves I made this season were done on a personal basis and I hope somehow you guys can respect that. With that said thanks again, and I will see you all at the final vote.
