Immunity Challenge #1 - Torch Relay
Come on in, guys!
Welcome, everyone, to EuroSurvivor: Benelux and to your first Immunity Challenge!
For this challenge, you will be arriving at password-protected pit stops, and lighting torches along the way. There will be a total of 11 torches you must light...One at the starting line, and one at all 10 subsequent pit stops along the way.
Each pit stop is password protected. The password to each Pit Stop is synonymous with water. All passwords are one word, lowercase, without hyphens or capitals.
Each pit stop will have a place to light torches, and the next Pit Stop as a sub-board above it. You must post your torches in the proper order! Meaning...Starting Line-Pit Stop 10.
If you miss a torch, any subsequent torches you light will be considered out of order, not count, and will require you to backtrack and re-post any subsequent torches you lit out of order, along with the torch you skipped.
Additionally, you are not allowed to edit or delete your posts. If you are caught, you will be given a 10-minute penalty, assessed at the conclusion of the challenge. This is a LIVE Challenge, that could be disastrous for your tribe!
The only way to guarantee yourself a spot in the next round is to win this challenge, and believe me, you want to win this challenge. The tribe that wins will receive their first clue to the Hidden Immunity Idol.
The Tribe whose 9 members all cross the finish line first will win Immunity and receive the clue. The other two Tribes will attend Tribal Council. Three people will be eliminated this week.
Here is, exactly, what is at stake:
1st Place - Immunity, Safe from Tribal Council, Public Clue to Hidden Immunity Idol.
2nd Place - Attend TC/Vote Out 1 Member.
Last Place - Attend TC/Vote Out 2 Members.
HOWEVER, that is NOT all that is at stake tonight! Time to introduce the Twist to this season!
EXILE ISLAND! That's right, Survivors, Benelux marks the introduction of Exile Island to EuroSurvivor! Now, Exile is MUCH different in EuroSurvivor than it is in most other places!
Each round, there is a way to gain access to Exile Island that has been predetermined by Production. However, Exile Island is both a blessing and a curse. For one, there IS a Hidden Immunity Idol on Exile Island, however...
If you are exiled, this literally means you are Exiled. You may NOT speak to ANYONE in the game about ANYTHING. You may communicate only with other players who are on Exile Island. For those not Exiled, DO NOT talk to those who are. If anyone not on Exile attempts to get you to talk to them, report them and they will be IMMEDIATELY EXPELLED from the game! If you are Exiled, talking to you is CROSS-TRIBAL COMMUNICATION! HOWEVER, if you reply with so much as a "Hi", YOU will be expelled.
Now, before you all freak out. There WILL be a little bit of a grace period for those not online at the conclusion of the challenge who talk to you inadvertently. Once they log onto the board, however, or respond in the Tribe Chat, that grace period ends! And YOU, if you are EXILED, STILL may not speak to them even during the grace period. That grace period is not applicable to you. Simply ignore them.
If you are Exiled, you are not with your Tribe, and you may not speak to them, because it is considered Cross-Tribal Communication. However, this is both a blessing and a curse, for, you see, each round, members from other Tribes will be Exiled as well. You may speak to THEM while you are both Exiled, as they are in the same place as you. However, once you go your separate ways, you may not communicate again, even if you have each other's AIM. Exile gives you the opportunity to look for an Idol and potentially make friends across tribal lines, but it also cuts you off from all communication and tribal politics until the next Immunity Challenge. Then again, if your tribe lost, it also means you get a free pass into the next round.
For this Challenge, to gain access to Exile Island, you must meet one of the following three criteria:
- Be the first person to correctly post a lit Torch in Pit Stop #1. (Must light your torch in the Startling Line first. You may not go out of order.)
- Be the first person from your tribe to post a lit Torch in Pit Stop #10 (You must have gone in order. You may not, at any time, go out of order). The two tribes whose Player was not the first person to correctly post a lit Torch in Pit Stop #1 will have their first player in Pit Stop #10 sent to Exile Island. If your Tribe does not make Pit Stop #10, the first player to get into the furthest reached board will be Exiled.
If one person meets two criteria, then the second person from that Tribe in Pit Stop #10 will get that Tribe's Exile spot. There is NO situation where two players from one Tribe will be making the trip to Exile Island at any point.
Players will not be Exiled until after the Challenge Results are posted. So don't fret, everyone!
To successfully post a torch, simply post the image provided below in each provided "Torch Lighting" thread within the Pit Stop.
No posts without a PROPERLY POSTED image will be counted. If your link is broken in any way, it will not count. If you post the words "Torch", it will not count, etc. You must post THIS image that is below.
To begin the challenge, click on the torch to be taken to the Starting Line.
Good Luck!
